MeshMolded: design 3D-printed mesh ornaments and treat boxes
MeshMolded is a browser studio for thermoformed, 3D-printed mesh ornaments and treat boxes. You pick one of 359 ready designs, decorate it for free, and get one Bambu Studio project: a colourful PLA mesh printed flat, the molds made for its shape, and a threaded nut and clip. A hair dryer softens the mesh, the mold presses it into a rounded shell, and two halves close into an ornament you can fill with sweets.

How it works
- Pick a design. Choose one of 359 ready designs (Christmas, Halloween, cute animals, letters and everyday shapes) and set its real size.
- Decorate it. Change the filament colours, add stickers, text and drawings, and choose how far each colour stands out in relief.
- Print it flat. Download one 3MF project for Bambu Studio with the two mesh halves, the molds, the nut and the clip, each on its own plate.
- Shape it with heat. Warm each half with a hair dryer, press it into its mold, close the halves with the clip and the nut, and fill it.

Frequently asked questions
What is MeshMolded?
A browser studio that turns a ready design into a thermoformed, 3D-printed ornament or treat box. You print a flat, colourful PLA mesh, soften it with a hair dryer and press it into a printed mold, and it keeps a rounded shape. Two halves close with a threaded nut at the top, which also holds the hanging loop, and a clip at the bottom.
Which 3D printers does it work with?
Any FDM printer that prints PLA. For every current Bambu Lab printer, from the A1 mini to the two-nozzle H2D, H2C and X2D, you pick your printer before downloading and get a 3MF project with the printer, the plates and the mesh settings already set; it also opens in OrcaSlicer. For other printers, the same design downloads as STL files, with a PDF guide to the settings in PrusaSlicer, Cura and other slicers.
Do I need an AMS?
No. With one filament you get a single-colour piece. With an AMS every colour is its own part, assigned to its own filament slot.
Which filament should I use?
PLA for the mesh, because it softens with a hair dryer. Heat each half only once: heated a second time, the mesh can break. The molds print in PLA; PETG keeps its shape longer if you form many pieces.
Do I need to know 3D modelling?
No. You start from a ready design and change it with taps and sliders. MeshMolded makes the mesh, the molds, the nut and the clip for the shape and size you chose.
Is MeshMolded free?
Designing and the 3D preview are free and need no account. Downloading the print files needs an account with a backer code from the MakerWorld campaign.
Can I put food in it?
Wrapped sweets only. A printed mesh is not a food container.
